How did God pick that one fish to swallow Jonah? That is the basis of this beautifully illustrated children’s book. Wait?! Wasn’t it a whale that swallowed Jonah? In this book, it was an specialfish. Not that it matters. The Bible does not specifically say it was a whale.
Parish, a 6-year-old, enjoyed the illustrations of the different types of fish. It kept Isaac’s typically-wondering attention with its simplicity. He is 4. They kept pointing to the different characteristics of each type of fish.
This is just a fun book, and, of course, it is another way of acknowledging God’s strange and majestic ways. Just how did he choose that fish?
