Love To Water My Soul is a captivating story of a young white girl who is raised by the Paiute Indians. She learns to work hard and struggles to find a place where she belongs. When she returns to the white man’s world, she must again learn to adapt to her environment. Love To Water My Soul is a beautiful love story. I have read other books by author Jane Kirk Patrick and enjoyed them, but this is my favorite. Kirkpatrick weaves the threads of history, romance, and faith together to form a tapestry upon which the readers will experience the life of Shell Flower. The characters are finely developed. At times, it was what Kirkpatrick did not say that told the story. I will cherish this tale for many years. |
